Becoming "Social Savvy" in Bismarck

March 31, 2016

Krista Murray and Amy Peterson, both speech-language pathologists at Pediatric Therapy Partners in Bismarck, recently attended a training entitled “Social Savvy: Social Skills in the School Setting.”

Murray and Peterson both found the course most beneficial for obtaining the tools to assist children in school settings, including parent, teacher, and therapist observation checklists and ratings. The training also included how to identify social skills and pragmatic weaknesses; a variety of social skill targets and the rational for targeting; and new interventions for implementation.
