Bismarck Speech Therapist's Attend Executive Function Education Course

February 20, 2017

Krista Murray and Amy Peterson continued education in 'Executive Function & Other Cognitive Considerations for Speech and Language Treatment'. Through this course they learned how executive function can impact classroom performance, and the neurophysiology of dorsolateral prefrontal lobe functions; like attention span, memory, decision making and goal setting. Murray and Peterson felt the most beneficial things they took from the course was that the adolescent brain is still maturing and actually decreases in maturity for a period of time; and learned more key areas of executive functioning.
