Occupational Therapists Learn New NDT Applications

April 17, 2016

Occupational therapists from Pediatric Therapy Partners attended training entitled “Contemporary NDT Treatment of the Baby and Young Child.”

Alyssa Sauvageau, Cassandra Borlaug, Carlie Rinas, and Katelyn Frappier learned observational assessment; grading of input for babies; spine, rib cage, and respiratory development; gross motor and upper extremity development and treatment; transitional movements; standing and walking; forearm, wrist, and hand treatment; parent perspectives; adaptive equipment; and review of musculature throughout the human body.

Most beneficial to the therapists was learning how to apply the principles learned into treatment sessions with the children currently being seen. The staff felt it was one of the best training courses they had ever attended.
